TRAFFIC SIGNAL TECHNICIAN – LEVEL II
We routinely need qualified Level II Traffic Signal Technicians in all of our regions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for general and preventative maintenance of traffic signals; troubleshooting traffic signal and street light problems; and will manage various electrical projects for public and private sector customers. Our traffic signal technicians sometimes act as a liaison to our public agency customers and at all times strive to enhance existing customer relationships.
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years recent, verifiable experience as a traffic signal technician
· IMSA Level II Certification required (or equivalent experience)
· Experience with VMS Master Controller, (will consider Bi Trans Quick Net experience)
· Excellent troubleshooting experience is a must
· Team oriented and customer focused
· Organized and self-directed
· Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record
· Must be able and willing to work at heights typically associated with repair, installation, and maintenance of traffic signals
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
We are looking for an experienced business development executive to drive our sales and marketing activities in Southern California.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales
Analyze the market, identify opportunities and perform sales activities to increase revenue in the following vertical markets:
- Traffic signal and streetlight maintenance.
- Traffic signal and streetlight retrofit and re-retrofit .
- Call box maintenance and repair.
- Utility streetlight retrofit and maintenance.
- AMI infrastructure installation.
- Commercial and residential lighting and electrical services.
- ESCO traffic signal and streetlight retrofits.
Manage relationships with local contacts
- Cities, Counties, Transportation Authorities.
- Lobbyists, retained firms, union representatives and utilities.
- ESCOs.
Marketing
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and conferences.
- Support in development of marketing newsletters, mailers and slicks.
- Prepare price quotes.
- Respond to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs.
- Qualify Republic for bid opportunities.
- Develop, support and perform marketing presentations.
- Attend industry events and educational meetings.
- Support all regions with marketing materials .
- Participate in qualifying of opportunities in each region.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, and feedback gathered through field activity to all regions.
Maintain records for:
- New, lost and won opportunities.
- Municipalities.
- Competitor information.
- Won and lost bids.
- Grant and loan information – Federal, State, Local.
- Contract awards – amount, start and expiration dates.
- Company information – notable projects, resumes, etc.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - ENGINEERING SERVICES
San Francisco Bay Area or Southern California
We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual with roots in the traffic engineering field, to expand Republic ITS’ business reach in California. The ideal candidate for this position can be based in either the San Francisco Bay Area or Southern California.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Identifies and generates new engineering services business opportunities in the California region.
- Develops new customer relationships with municipalities and private business entities through research, qualifying leads, cold calling, and customer service.
- Maintains and develops client relations with existing customers, assuring all existing customer are contacted regularly to ensure customer satisfaction and develop need-based marketing relations.
- Develops sales documentation including but not limited to spreadsheets, correspondence, sales proposals, presentations, and internal paperwork for new customer proposals and presentations.
- Develops and implements a sales action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new customers.
- Gives detailed and informative presentations to individuals and groups at all levels of an organization.
- Attends conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed; prepares post-event reports and analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree– B.S. Civil Engineering preferred.
- Four to six years experience in a business development role in traffic engineering services.
- Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills.
- Well-developed negotiation, project and account management skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization.
- High level of proficiency in MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
