To ensure expeditious emergency response service to traffic signal and streetlight problems for our customers, Republic ITS utilizes a highly reliable communications system. Upon receiving a call for emergency response to a traffic signal or streetlight problem, our operators immediately contact one of Republic's executive managers, who then dispatches an electrician to address the emergency situation. To facilitate our timely response to such situations, Republic's field employees are issued cellular telephones and wireless PDA's with custom built Traffic Signal and Streetlight maintenance software with real-time two-way communication of dispatch and response information. All of Republic's emergency response employees are also issued home fax machines. This process is in place 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. With it, the Republic ITS management team ensures that emergency calls are properly handled, and that someone is quickly on the way.
