TRAFFIC SIGNAL TECHNICIAN

Republic ITS is a service company with a core business of streetlight and traffic signal maintenance.  We are by culture, customer focused, entrepreneurial, and growth-oriented. Our traffic signal/street light maintenance contracts typically encompass all aspects associated with the maintenance, repair, and replacement of traffic signals and streetlights. Republic's consistent growth in this business continually result in our need to expand the size our team of traffic signal technicians in various locations nation wide.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative maintenance of traffic signals; troubleshooting traffic signal and streetlight problems; and, will manage small electrical projects for public and private sector customers.  The traffic signal technician will sometimes act as a liaison between public agencies and/or private customers, and the corporate office and at all times, strive to enhance existing customer relationships.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills

  • 5 years recent, verifiable experience as a traffic signal technician
  • Minimum Level II IMSA Certification is required (or equivalent experience), Level III microprocessor certification is preferred
  • Experience with VMS Master Controller, (will consider Bi Trans Quick Net experience)
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience is a must
  • Team oriented and customer focused
  • Organized and self-directed
  • Must have a valid driver's license issued by the state in which she/he will report to work, by hire date.
  • Must be able and willing to work at heights typically associated with repair, installation, and maintenance of traffic signals and streetlights
  • Completion of military electrical/electronics training or electrical apprenticeship is desirable
