SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Republic ITS is seeking a software developer to assist in both the maintenance and creation of custom web, desktop and pda software
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will have experience developing applications using c# and ASP.net with SQL Server. UI design and database development are critical aspects of this position and experience in these areas is preferred. This position also has a technical support / technical administration component, providing support to all of our employees in the local office, remote locations, and for our technicians in the field. The ideal candidate will have experience with the entire software development lifecycle and some technical support experience. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently and as a team member on multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Application Development:
- Maintain/Upgrade Web Applications (C#, ASP.NET, Javascript, SqlServer 2000, IIS)
- Maintain/Upgrade PocketPC Applications (C#, .NET Compact Framework)
- Maintain/Upgrade company website (HTML)
- Develop new applications (C#)
Tech Support - Phone based support for Local/Remote offices & Field Staff for the following technologies:
- Windows XP / Server 2000/2003
- Windows and Web Applications
- Wireless Pocket PC
- LAN/WAN
- Office Machines and Telephones
Tech Admin / Other:
- Creating / Generating reports using Crystal Reports, Crystal Reports Server, and Excel/ODBC
- Training staff in proprietary software
- Working with clients to create/customize software/reports
- General IT administration
- Creating various technical documents
Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications Required:
- C# / ASP.NET (1.x and 2.x)
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Crystal Reports
- Microsoft Office
- HTML/CSS/Javascript
- UI Design
Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications Desired:
- LAN/WAN Administration
- Microsoft Server operating systems
- Microsoft Exchange Server
- Developing Applications for PocketPC
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
