Republic ITS also operates its own independent test laboratory for traffic signal controllers, cabinets, and other critical components. We are a customer focused, entrepreneurial growth business seeking a project manager to join our Dallas-Ft. Worth area office located in Grand Prairie, TX.
Job Description
The Project Manager will report to the Regional Manager and will be responsible for managing numerous projects for public and private sector customers. The qualified candidate will have 3-5+ years related experience in project management, electrical construction or traffic signal industry. The position consists of the following duties:
- Responsible for completing projects on time and within budget while achieving 100% customer satisfaction.
- Generate job estimates and proposals.
- Create, update, and adhere to project schedules including the identification of major and minor tasks, milestones, and critical path management.
- Perform material purchasing including identifying vendors, initiating requests for quotation, making best price/best value purchasing determinations, issuing purchase orders, and tracking delivery of material.
- Hire and manage subcontractors to perform outsourced scopes of work.
- Maintain existing customer relationships and coordinate project activities with field supervisors.
- Prepare customer invoices, perform job tracking/reporting, and general office administrative support.
- Work with engineering staff to evaluate, design and optimize lighting and transportation facilities such as traffic signals, intelligent transportation systems, and bicycle and pedestrian features.
Experience / Skills
- 3-5 years related experience in Project Management
- Excellent technical foundation with an ability to learn new concepts rapidly
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Strong Computer Skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Outlook
- Problem Solver with a Strong Work Ethic
- Team oriented and Customer Focused
- Organized and Self-Directed
Education
- BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related degree
- Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) Certificate preferred
