Traffic Signal Technician Apprentice
Republic ITS is a service company with a core business of streetlight and traffic signal maintenance. We are by culture, customer focused, entrepreneurial, and growth-oriented. Our traffic signal/street light maintenance contracts typically encompass all aspects associated with the maintenance, repair, and replacement of traffic signals and streetlights. Republic's consistent growth in this business continually results in our need to expand the size of our team of traffic signal technicians in various locations nation wide. We are currently seeking several traffic signal technician apprentices throughout Northern and Southern California. With the assistance of the company, the candidates must be willing to enter & complete the local union apprenticeship program.
Job Description
Under immediate supervision in a trainee capacity, the Traffic Signal Technician Apprentice performs a variety of progressively complex tasks in the maintenance, service, repair and inspection of traffic signals and streetlights. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting traffic signal technicians in their duties.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. with completion of at least 1 year high school algebra
- Must have a valid driver's license & clean driving record
- Must be able and willing to work at heights typically associated with repair, installation, and maintenance of traffic signals and streetlights
- Team oriented and customer focused
- Enroll in & complete training courses required for the local union apprentice program.
- Pre-employment drug testing is required
- Military experience & electrical/electronics training is desirable
