Our goal with regard to transportation engineering services is to provide practical and effective transportation engineering support to public governments and their consultants. Republic's complement of engineers is composed of personnel with practical experience from both the public and private sectors. From the public sector, our real-world experience is based in positions such as City Traffic Engineer, and we have over twenty years combined experience in local agency public works engineering. From the private sector, we offer real-world experience in traffic, civil, and electrical engineering disciplines. Our engineering capabilities are powerfully complemented by our construction and maintenance staff. Republic ITS has the unique ability to design, construct, maintain and operate traffic signals using in-house electricians, engineers and technicians. In addition to offering general on-call traffic/civil/construction engineering services, we offer the following services:
- Develop, review, and implement traffic signal timing and coordination plans
- Pursue funding opportunities such as TEA-21, Safe Routes to School, Air Quality, various State funding sources, energy grants, etc.
- Develop and recommend specific traffic signal, signing, striping and street lighting specifications and standards
- Design and/or review traffic signal, signal modification, and signal interconnect plans
- Design and/or review pedestrian and bicycle transportation enhancements Design and/or review traffic control plans
- Design and/or review traffic signing and striping plans
- Review construction plans to determine and mitigate impacts to traffic operations
- Monitor and utilize traffic management systems, including VMS 330, Streetwise Advanced Traffic Management System, Quicknet/4 and others
