The Pennsylvania League of Cities and Municipalities (PLCM) released a specialized LED Retrofit request for Proposal. The RFP required a thorough response including our proposed sales and marketing plan, energy analysis and payback methodology, ability to provide funding and the agility to mobilize anywhere in Pennsylvania as well as exemplary references. After careful consideration the PLCM selected Republic as their partner.
The City of York was anxious to be the first PLCM city to have completed their LED retrofit and begin to achieve their energy savings. The project was completed in January 2007, consisted of 2,100 lamps, with a projected energy and maintenance savings exceeding $51,900 at $0.062 per kWh and a payback of 4 years!
As Republic continues to grow in Pennsylvania, we’ve opened a field office in Lancaster to support the traffic signal and streetlight maintenance contracts for that city as well as other areas in the state.
Republic’s marketing team continues to pursue cities and municipalities across Pennsylvania interested in energy efficiency!
